Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is a type of energy that is produced or generated from processes that don’t get used up and are therefore sustainable for indefinte period of time and generally has little waste. Renewable energy includes capturing sunlight with solar pv or solar thermal, geothermal heat, wind, tides, water, and various forms of biomass.

Solar PV

This is the fastest growing type of renewable energy since it is pretty much unlimited. The only limits are night time and cloudy days. Other countries are winning the race to install PV, China particularly has exceeded it’s projections but has a problem with storage. Here in the UK we were installing lots of PV arrays but since the government reduced the Feed in Tariff (FiT) it has slowed down. But that doesn’t mean that it has had its day. Infact as prices for electricity from the grid go up, the price for a solar pv system is falling (Reference: Green Business Watch Solar PV Prices). With electricity prices set to rise again and again we can argue that there has never been a better time to put up solar panels and take advantage of the energy savings they will help you to make. If you would like to talk to Matt or Shaun about how much a solar pv stsyem might cost, and how much they could save you on your bills per year head over to our contact page and send us a message or use the telephone number at the top of the page.
